We produce 1, maybe 2 litters per year. Every breeding is carefully planned to produce puppies that meet the Breed standard. We strive to produce high quality, healthy and happy dogs for the show ring and the home. We do use health clearances(OFA-hips elbows,cardiac,EIC,OptiGen and complete annual eye evaluations) and the evaluation of structure, type,pedigree and temperament to screen our dogs prior to breeding.We do breed for ourselves, and we occasionally have Labrador puppies available to qualified companion homes.We also screen our homes to insure that our owners and dogs are happy and well suited for each other. All puppies are sold on AKC Limited Reg and with a spay/neuter contract.
Puppies are whelped and raised in my home. A great deal of time is spent monitoring their care. They are well socialized and have all age appropriate vaccines, deworming, microchipped, at the time that they go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age.
When we have young adults for sale, these are not dogs that we could not sell as puppies. These are the dogs that we selected for ourselves to show and to continue our breeding program. Sometimes they do not mature to be quite what we had hoped for as a show or breeding prospect, so we make the decision to place them in loving forever homes as a companion.
